Charity fly2help, The Air Charter Association’s chosen charity for 2019, has approached us to see if any of our members can help them with an Air Smiles Day.
fly2help has received a nomination for a nineteen-year-old girl who has tragically been given just twelve months to live. During her first term at university she was suffering with headaches and after several tests, she recently received the dreadful news that she has several brain tumours and was diagnosed with Glioblastoma.
The problem is that the girl and her family are based in Lancashire and this is a new area for the charity.
So, we are reaching out to you, our members, particularly those based in (or with contacts in) the Lancashire area.
We need a local airport / FBO to host the Air Smiles Day, and an aircraft and pilot to take the nominee up for a short flight.
Any help available would be greatly appreciated, on behalf of fly2help and the family. Please email Georgina Godfree, Programme Delivery Coordinator, if you can assist at georgina.godfree@fly2help.org
Many thanks in advance
On behalf of fly2help
